Former Hitz FM presenter Abubakar Ahmed popularly known as Blakk Rasta has announced his intention to return to radio “this month”.
He said after his resignation from Multimedia Group, he has been touring northern and central America - specifically Trinidad and Tobago and the US.
The reggae artiste came under fire in July when he was summoned by Ghana’s legislative arm for comments to the effect that 80 per cent of the members abuse marijuana.
He resigned a few days after receiving sanctions from Parliament, which had demanded an unqualified apology from the firebrand presenter.
Speaking recently on Accra-based Happy FM, the ‘Barack Obama’ hitmaker said: “I’m getting ready, praying and preparing to bounce forward on radio… I appreciate the fact that people are asking where I am. It makes me feel good.”
He added: “Hopefully, we will be back on radio this month and the fire will be better.”
Blakk Rasta, who gifted CDs of his new album ‘Serwaa Akoto’ to parliamentarians during his interrogation, was silent where he would be heading to in terms of his latest decision.
Many believe he may return to Happy FM - fromwhere he moved to Hitz FM.
